THE MUSEUM SHOP - We stock a good range of traditional toys and books as well as Crewkerne souvenirs. Most items are less than a 'fiver' and we offer well-made and imaginative gifts. Why not come along next year and see for yourself? You will be very welcome! - Barbara Hollingworth

It's not only the ladies we have to thank. We are very lucky to have some very talented and willing gentlemen who are always ready to help in the museum. It is only with their hard work and skills that essential maintenance and alterations are carried out, especially during the winter months when we are closed. The support of the Friends is always appreciated by everyone who works as a volunteer at the museum. In addition to your fund raising an important contribution is to visit the museum. We hope that you agree that our special exhibitions add to the interest. It is also planned to exhibit some of the Roman coin collection from Crewkerne and we are busy setting up additional facilities for viewing photographs and documents. This is time consuming but we believe it is important to have as much material accessible to the public as possible. A visit to the museum this season will bring new experiences for ALL age groups. We look forward to seeing you! |

Thanks to all the supporters of the Crewkerne & District Heritage Centre 100 Club we have raised over £1000 for funds this year, and made many members happy with their monthly prizes!
Now is the time to consider joining the 100 Club for the next year December 2012 - November 2013. A number costs £24 which gives the owner entry to each monthly draw. There are three bigger prize draws in December, April and August and the other months give out at least 6 prizes. Half of the income goes to support the Heritage Centre which houses the museum, research facilities and meeting room.
The Friends organise a monthly Coffee morning on the first Saturday of each month when the draw is made. This is also a social occasion open to all when cakes may be bought and other special events held.Grant funding continues to fall from South Somerset District Council so we need to increase the funds to maintain the service that we have always given.
So, if you wish to support the centre, this is a simple way to do so. Forms are available at the museum or can be downloaded from this site.
