Research and Archive Facility

Microfilmed details of local parish registers and censuses, and a wide range of paper-based information is held here. There are also some local oral history recordings. Those retracing their family history or just seeking details of a relative in this area, will find much to help them, as will those researching aspects of the history of Crewkerne and the neighbouring villages. Information can be copied for a modest charge. We are not able to undertake lengthy research for people, but for an initial enquiry, why not email us details of what you are seeking.

Censuses 1841/51/61/71/91/1901 on microfiche for the parishes of Crewkerne, Misterton, Haselbury Plucknett, North Perrott, Wayford, Hinton St George, Merriott, Lopen, Chiselborough, East, Middle and West Chinnock.

Parish registers on microfiche for the same parishes.
